Proenza Schouler once had a line for Target.
Most people today say not shopping at JCPenney or even Belk can cut it. There not up to par on the latest trends or do not really have anything that will strike to your appeal; or so you think;) Lately, When I shop at such stores I look for sales and also look in the nooks and crannies (corners and back of the section). Sometimes, I find just the thing I am looking for.
For example, in Fall of 2006, Plum colors, thick black belts, and leggins were all the rage.I already had the thick black belt and the opaque leggins, but was looking for a plum piece. Not able to find the plum piece for a good price or quality at Nordstrom or Macy's, I decided to give JCPenney a shot. When I arrived I had found NOTHING. I was determined to find treasure in all of the rubbish the store had. After looking for about an hour, I stumbled upon a sale rack. There I found just what i wanted. A smooth plum colored tunic that hugged my body. I was ecstatic! The latest fashion color and the latest trend were at my fingertips for just 8.99
Most people would believe buying expensive is the best way to go to look a million bucks. I think they are wrong. Many outfits I have worn you would be surprised that I bought them at a Wet Seal or JCPenney. With the right accessories, the right shoes, or the right piece, it will not look like you spent only 50 bucks on your whole outfit. ( including accessories, shoes, and clothing)
Therefore, when you go school shopping this fall take the tips that I use to look like you just spent 2,000 dollars on that outfit. :)
-Look through Vogue, Bazaar, Elle, or Marie Claire to take peek at the latest fall fashions. When looking, jot down a list of the trends or pieces you like. So, when you go to the store, you can look for something similar, or even just like it~
-Shop at some of these stores, they have great stuff for great prices: Target(they have the go international line where designers make stuff for cheap!) JCPenney, Macy's (sale rack if everything else is too expensive), Charlotte Russe, Forever 21, For Love 21, Heritage 1981, Deliahs,Wet Seal,Urban Outfitters (sale rack), Old Navy, and EVEN Wal-MArt(but you have to look hard).
- Remember! Always be yourself and try not to think of think of the approval of your colleagues. If you like it, get it!
- Do your hair, paint your nails, and put on some lip gloss to make your outfit stand out even more.
-On the first day, Hold your head up high, and stand out!
