Chanel Salutes Our Grand Old Flag with Style- Meganmoiselle

Fourth of July is just around the corner, but Chanel is already ahead of the game. Back in the fall, Chanel premeired its Spring 2008 Ready to wear line. Now, it wasn't Chanel's usual elegant basic tweed suits or over-extravagant feathered dresses head designer Karl Lagerfeld Showcased. This time, it was more jeans, more wool, and just a hint of tweed. It was what some call Americana looking.

Most models sported jeans head to toe; while others had outfits made up of stars and stripes. All i can say is that the Americana look never looked this good! Of course, leave it to Chanel and Karl Lagerfeld to spice up the American style!

Therefore, if you want to look good this fourth of july, take some risks, and some tips from the runway of chanel! Here are just a few of my favorites.

A very suttle, but loud look, you can create a chanel style like this when you pair a navy and white striped or starred tunic/dress with a red sweater. To top it off put a cute red white or navy belt to cinch the waist and wear patent leather flats or heels.

This is a more complicated look to duplicate, but also an easy one to try. Try a navy blue striped tunic/dress and top it off with a simple red jacket. Accessorize with an array of buttons, jean flats or heels, and some simple pearls to show a bit of elegance.

This is most likely the easiest and chic look to make out of the whole collection. Where a solid navy dress with a patent leather belt. To accessorize, bunch some buttons at the top of the dress, wear patent leather flats/heels,and top it off a nice simple clutch. :)

*remember* red lipstick is always chic! It ups the elegance factor!

*have a great and wonderful fourth of july! Be safe, have fun and dress chic!*

GOD BLESS AMERICA
