Pure, sheer genius! On June 30th 2008, Head Designer of Dior, John Galliano surprised the fashion world at the dior fall 2008 haute couture show. Galliano shows that simplicity is key and that vintage is still in! He uses the 1950s everyday glamour, high style 1920's fashion and gives it a edgy spin. Also, the sheer detail made me love it the collection even more! When looking at these pictures it took my breath away. Here are just some of my favorites
I love the lace detailing on the sleeves and on the dress and also how the cinched belt gives her an hourglass shape. Great to wear to ANY dinner party.
This one reminds me of the roaring 1920's! The fur sleeves and collar give it a chic sophisticated vibe. The sequin detailing makes it more glamourous. Great for wanting to make a statement out on town!
This just shows the innocence of the 1950s...i love the pastel baby blue and the sheer sleeves and skirt.
The working-class lady ready to conquer would surely love this piece. It is very simplisitc with a great gathered detail. I also love the hat with the sequined fold.
Undeniably beautiful darling! My favorite piece out of all them. I love how John Galliano made the sheer sleeves and skirt with the gorgeous lace! I would definitely wear this to any fabulous occasion!
Kudos to head designer John Galliano for reinventing and remembering the Dior brand again!
